As I said in my last post, I've been getting back to normal with stuff now I'm back (see last post *points down*). And I've been merrily restocking my Etsy shop. I still have a ton of stuff to add, and when I do I'll be issuing a discount code for it (details to follow on Instagram, Facebook, and in my newsletter (subscribe using the form here)). Once that's a go, I'll be relaunching my website store (currently hidden while I squirrel away in the background). In the meantime, look how the Etsy shop is doing: Isn't it all exciting??? (well it is for me, 'kay *grin*). Deb

We did our first Wedding Fair last weekend, as part of the Yorkshire Wedding Consortium, at Pontefract Racecourse. It was a fabulous day, and we met lots of lovely people. We're now looking forward to the next one, which will be on 23rd February 2014. If you were there, and picked up a card, you'll notice that the address on the website and the address on the card are different - that's because we're just moving into our new studio in Mirfield (all very exciting - more of that later). Debbie has also been experimenting with a new range. We appreciate that not everybody can afford to have a fully bespoke, fully handmade, couture piece made, especially given the current economy, etc. For that reason, Debbie has been planning a 'diffusion' range of designs. These are put together and trimmed in our workroom, but the blocking and some components are factory produced. These will be part of our new '4b by Deborah Walton' range. We tried out the first two designs (see pics below) from this range at the Wedding Fair in Pontefract, and they proved to be liked, so it's going to be all go on the rest of the range in the coming months. The first piece of our new '4b' collection - a 'percher' (or mini hat) in a pinky shade, trimmed with silver ribbon, and a silvery grey silk rose (hand made), embellished with caviar beads, and freshwater pearls. Look out for these and other designs appearing in our shop, and Etsy shop soon! |
