'Vivien', is a striking sideways slanting beret. Modern and classic at the same time, a single black calla lily sits at the apex of the piece.
Inspiration for this headpiece came from the films (and film stars) of the 1930s and 40s. This one was particularly inspired by the shapes worn by Vivien Leigh during the period.
The sinamay beret is unlined, and trimmed with a hand made black linen calla lily. At the heart of the lily are several black and ivory biot feathers. The hat is finished with double loops of natural freshwater reed.
This hat is entirely hand sewn, and is made (to order) in my little workroom in Yorkshire, England.
Sinamay, 100% linen, biot feathers, natural reeds, millinery wire, petersham ribbon.
This piece is made to order. In general, it will take around six weeks to produce a piece, however, if you need it sooner than that, do contact us to see if we are able to help.
All pieces are supplied in a hat box.
The headpiece can be made with a headband, an elastic fitting, a comb, or a clip. It can also be made to sit to the left or the right. If you wish to purchase, we will contact you after receipt of your order to discuss your preferences.
Please also bear in mind that this headpiece is hand made, so small variations are normal, and should be expected.
UK postage is free.
If you're outside the UK, there will be an additional cost for postage - see FAQ for details.
